nbentus increases capital. The company from Murcia, specialized in healthcare technology and born during the Covid-19 crisis, has closed a financing round of more than 500,000 euros, as confirmed Monday by Rafael Valverde, CEO of the start up, to PlantaDoce.

Valverde commented that Inbentus has raised 340,000 euros to date through the Crowdcube campaign and that the rest, 200,000 euros, has come from non-refundable public aid. With this amount, the company exceeds the initial target set at 500,000 euros and even keeps the door open to receive more funding in the coming days, highlights the CEO of Inbentus.

The company has already developed a product consisting of a ventilator to respond to the Covid-19 crisis. Inbentus will use the financial resources for the development of the high-tech ICU ventilator, as well as to boost sales of the equipment.

Inbentus expects to start its commercial activity in Latin America

In 2021, Inbentus will continue with the development of its equipment, a respirator whose selling price can be around 10,000 euros. In addition, Inbentus estimates that by 2027 an investment of 8.5 billion euros in invasive ventilators will be required worldwide.

Another of the company's future objectives is, once the commercialization phase in emerging countries and Europe has been completed, to make the leap to the BME Growth, formerly known as the Alternative Stock Market (MAB), in a target scenario from 2023 to 2025. The truth is that at the moment nothing has been finalized. Valverde also says that the company is in a very early stage of talks with businessmen and other agents to open up markets in Latin America, with a special focus on Paraguay.

The founding team of Inbentus, in addition to Valverde, includes Juan Andrés Romero, founder of Clerhp Estructuras, a listed Spanish engineering and construction company, and José Ramón García, CEO of La Comarca Food Group. In addition, the company's team of advisors includes Mariano Martínez, head of the ICU at the Reina Sofía Hospital in Murcia.

In the market in which Inbentus operates, there are other competitors in Europe and the United States, such as Medtronic, Hamilton Medical, Honeywell, Dräger and General Electric Healthcare. Magnamed stands out in Brazil and Aeomed in China.
